I do wish that the USB cable was a bit longer, or could be extended in some way.
The left ear cup hosts the non-detachable cable, a smooth infinite volume scroller, and a mic mute button, while the right ear cup features the Hypersense button, which we will talk about in the next section. Since these are wired, there aren’t many ports and buttons to know about. The comfort is remarkably excellent, and I can say without a doubt that these are the most comfiest headsets I have ever worn. I have put them on my head and completely forgot they were there as I continued my day listening to music, putting in some game hours, and watching videos on YouTube. Not once did I feel any kind of pressure around my ears, or required a breather from using them. I can’t say enough about how comfortable the Kraken V3 Hypersense are - the generous padding feels like soft pillows on your head, and the gentle clamp force is nearly perfect for hours long gaming sessions. The ear cups are also heavily padded, covered in faux-leather on the outside to create a good seal for the bass, while the inner linings feature a smooth sportswear material that feels cool to the touch. The headband features a thick cut of foam wrapped around in Razer’s hybrid fabric which was first introduced in the Blackshark series. This, for me at least, is one of the biggest selling points of the new headset lineup. That said, Razer has made sure the Kraken V3s are as comfortable as possible with their luxuriously padded ear cups and headband. Despite the change, they still do not support any swivel movement which could be disappointing to those that may have found the Kraken uncomfortable because of it.
The ear cup yolks have been changed, too, which now sports a traditional Y-shaped fixture instead of the fully circular enclosure of the previous models. However, with the V3 versions, the Razer logos are now encased in a shiny plastic container and have additional RGB support around it to make them pop even more. It still features the same round, bulbous ear cups with a faux-mesh grill and the LED-backed Razer logo on each of them. If you have used any of the previous Kraken headsets before, you will feel right at home with the Kraken V3 Hypersense. After using them for nearly two weeks, the Kraken V3 Hypersense is an overall good sounding headset, but if you are looking for something that will give you an edge in competitive play, these sadly don’t make the cut. With that bit of exposition aside, let’s focus on the product at hand - the Razer Kraken V3 Hypersense, a wired USB gaming headset that rumbles both literally, and also aurally with a thick bass end support.
